How to identify EPDM sealing strip

EPDM sealing strip is a kind of EPDM rubber strip. It is made by microwave vulcanization technology in one time. The surface is clean and beautiful. It has good elasticity and compression deformation resistance, weather aging resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance, fire resistance and wide use temperature range (- 50 ℃ ~ + 150 ℃) and other excellent properties. Next, we will share the identification method of the sealing strip. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Can use nose to smell whether there is peculiar smell, normal meeting has the taste of a little alcohol, but can't smell very little.

2. Wrap the sealing strip on the profile as tightly as possible, and place it under high temperature for a period of time (on the roof or in a sunny place). Check whether the contact surface between profile surface and sealing strip is stained and discolored, whether the dust on the surface of sealing strip is yellow (it is easy to absorb soil if there is oil), whether there is oil leakage, and whether there is dirty hands.

3. Some cheaper sealer fillers will be many, so the surface will not be very bright, and those that are very cheap and do not have a bright appearance are not advisable.

4. Look at the specific gravity. Add the sealing strip of heavy calcium, you stretch it back and forth several times by hand, and a small amount of white powder will appear on its surface. The quality is so poor that it can be easily broken.
