Briefly discuss the technical conditions and test types of sealing strips

In order to ensure the function and reliability of the sealing strip, the sealing strip must pass a series of tests and meet the various technical requirements required. Sealing strip technical requirements and test types can be roughly divided into four categories:

First, basic performance test

The basic performance test of the sealing strip includes:

1. Material test: including a variety of mechanical properties of the material, including tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness, density, brittle temperature, water resistance, ozone aging resistance, uv resistance, heat aging, pollution, corrosion, etc.

2. Finished product test: mechanical properties of sealing strip, such as compression permanent deformation, compression load, plugging force, low temperature performance, light aging resistance, smell, color and color, flocking and surface coating wear and peel test, bonding force between various parts, etc.

Two, reliability and function test

Reliability and function test includes: window glass lifting life test, door closing force (energy) test and repeated closing (cover) fatigue test, the test is not only carried out at room temperature, but also in the environment box under the alternating condition of high and low temperature.

Noise test: The static sound insulation effect of the sealing strip can be evaluated by measuring the noise shielding of the whole vehicle equipped with the sealing strip. The noise laboratory built by Shenya Company in recent years has been put into trial operation. The test results show that the noise reduction levels of different models of cars are quite different, which provides an experimental means for the design and improvement of the sealing strip. Dynamic testing is performed by the vehicle in a wind tunnel.

Weather test: observe the durability of sealing strip in all kinds of bad weather conditions

3. Loading test

The loading test of the sealing strip is firstly matched on the standard car mold and evaluated by the three-dimensional measurement of space. Then loading test is carried out on the body or small production car pre-pilot. Of course, there are also direct loading tests on the production of the car body, but at this time, due to the size and assembly position of the body and door parts of the deterioration, often need to be matched many times to obtain the ideal effect.

Iv. Road test

The road test is a test of the performance of the whole vehicle. As an automobile part, the sealing strip and the whole vehicle should be tested together for all kinds of weather and road sports car. Qualified seals shall maintain good performance after these tests.
