The sealing strip of doors and windows can be dust-proof, waterproof, sound proof and sealed. According to different uses, it can be divided into three categories: door leaf and door pocket sealing strip, wool strip and glass sealing strip (rubber strip).
The door leaf / sleeve sealing strip is mainly used for sealing between the door panel and the door frame, while the wool strip is mainly used for sealing between the door frame and the door leaf, and the glass sealing strip is mainly used for sealing between the glass and the door leaf and the frame.
As the rubber strip is an elastomer, it may appear to shrink after rolling. The correct way is:
1. When the sealant strip device is at the interface between the two ends, retract the two ends of the strip to the middle a little, and leave a shrinkage allowance of 2-3cm, then cut and embed it into the notch.
2. According to the correct surface of the sealant strip, the tip of the sealant strip shall be manually penetrated into the profile groove by the glass bead, and then the adhesive strip shall be pressed into the gap between the glass and the profile by pressing the outer surface of the adhesive strip with force.
The sealant strip at both ends shall be retracted a little towards the middle, with a length of 1-2cm left, then cut it and press it into the notch.
Precautions for the door and window sealing strip device 1. Before installing the glass, the sundries in the notch, such as mortar, brick chips, wood blocks, etc., shall be removed carefully. When placing the glass, the gap between the two sides shall be ensured to be even, and it shall be fixed in time to avoid collision, displacement and deviation from the notch center. 2. The rubber sealing strip shall not be pulled too tightly, and the blanking length shall be 20-30mm longer than the assembly length.
The device shall be inlaid in place, the appearance shall be straight, and it shall be in close contact with glass and glass notch to make the stress around the glass average.
The rubber sealing strip at the corner shall be beveled off and glued firmly at the disconnection.
3. When sealant is used to seal and fix the glass, the rubber sealing strip or rubber block shall be used to squeeze the glass to leave the space for glue injection. The depth of glue injection shall not be less than 5mm. Before the glue is solidified, the glass shall be free from vibration.
4. The installation part of the wool strip is usually on the window (door) sash, around the frame sash or on the sealing bridge (wind block), to strengthen the sealing between the frame and the sash.
5. The specification of the strip is an important factor that affects the performance of sliding doors and windows and the watertight performance, and also an important factor that affects the opening and closing force of doors and windows.
If the specification of the strip is too large or the vertical hair is too high, not only the assembly is difficult, but also the moving resistance of the doors and windows is increased, especially the initial resistance when opening and the last resistance when closing.
6. The size is too small, or the height of the vertical strip is not enough, which is easy to get out of the groove, so that the sealing performance of the doors and windows is greatly reduced.
